Max, I'm afraid you badly misread my statement. My service to the youth liberation movement and those who serve in it demands that I make decisions that are unpopular at the time. If I bowed to the impulse of the day, I would be enabling a mob to run ASFAR aground. My job in keeping ASFAR afloat requires that I make decisions that are right, whether or not they are popular. Time will tell whether I was right.
I added a motion of confidence to the spring ballot agenda so that disgruntled members like you can vent your frustration with this fact. I am confident that, with all the work that will be accomplished between now and then, I will have enough votes to keep my seat. Remember also that the meeting will be held the third Tuesday in May, not at the next (March) meeting.
I serve the members, not their impulsive demands.
